growing healthy communities around cultural foods, herbs, teas, food forests & food security

2023

Our cultural foods offer us increased wellness and connection to Nas and our land. Self sufficient harvest practices reawaken our senses to the elements and our interconnected relationship to all living things. As we fight for self determination and sovereignty over our lands we must apply the same diligence, efforts and care for our own inner ecosystem and microbiome. Our dispossesion of land is equivalent to our internal diseases today. Our Nuuchahnulth diet naturally is preventative to the illnesses that plague our communities today. Through growing healthy foods and ensuring our children have connection to cultural foods we will be rooting them in health, wellness and a pathway forward to the way we were.
