Hishuk’ish tsawalk everything is one. This is my process intergrading my traditional knowledge with Western Herbalism, Alchemic Medicine, Biodynamic gardening, Food Forest, Forest Ecology, Permaculture, Cosmic Gardening, braided with Nuu-Chah-Nulth embodied teaching. I call this Tsawalk gardens.

Plant selection will always be based on your specific region encouraging maximum native species to support your food requirements and preferences. Other plant selection is largely determined by your altitude, accessibility to water and general soil type. On new sites we can uniquely create your design around the flow of natural water in your microclimate. Tsawalk gardens are slightly different than food forests in that, through Hishuk-ish tsawalk, I work from the perimeter of your site inwards creating coherence, a bio feed back loop (qamiiły’ak) to support your food security.
